Just across the road from where I live there is accommodation for
refugees, the only commotion I have seen so far is when a group of about
8 Jehovah's Witnesses tried to enter the accommodation, but there are
strict rules on who can enter and who cannot.
Another thing, I
was on the flea market this morning and there was a group of what to me
were refugees, one man in his twenties with two adult females and three
children. I can only guess at their family relationship. They looked
very sad indeed.

Headline: "Islamic Invasion: Europe now scrambles for guns." How true is this?
by cappytan ina year to a year and a half ago, i would have taken this article at face value and believed it.. now, i realize this article comes from a dubious source.
world news daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.
so, in an effort to get real information, i'm asking my european exjw's, is this article all true?

On respect for the belief of others. Sorry for the long post
by StarTrekAngel ini am inclined to start this thread in response to some comments made in other threads.
i have been coming around these forum for quite some time now so whatever you find in here is not just related to something someone may have said this week.
it can go months back as well.. i have seen many who claim to respect the belief of others but when it comes down to applying it into practice, things take a whole different tune.

I appreciate you thorough research and reporting on this site, I wish I had the time to do that but I do not. I enjoy reading your comments and how you point out the inaccuracies in what others report, keep it up.

The thousand mile bullshit stare
by bohm inanyone else tired of this wt cliche?.
"a certain young man named eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep.
as paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead".

A private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go. 13 A peg should be part of your equipment. When you squat outside, you should dig a hole with it and then cover your excrement.

Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter
by James Jack injust got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.
they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

The Society recently bought a 1.6 million dollar house here in Wales for translators
This is something that amazes me, they could employ someone part time about 25 hours a week, and they would have the capacity to translate all the BS the bOrg produces. Naturally one translator per language, what would they need to pay them? No more than $ 2500.00 a month and the person could then also regular pioneer. So obviously the purchasing of these properties around the world have absolutely nothing to do with translations. -

New Watchtower Propaganda and hate speech destroying families (Feb 2016 WT)
by Daniel1555 inthe following is a paragraph from the new february study watchtower article "learn from jehovah's loyal servants.".
7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.
for example, a sister named anne [1] received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

... but it does not seem like everyone is on the same page in the writing department.
The other writers have probably been sent into the field.

'Seek the Kingdom First' Economics
by Tornintwo inhas anyone else's family finances been victim to the 'seek the kingdom first' economic policy?.
for years, my husband and i have had our own business, my husband is not the most proactive guy, prefers to go in field service than to work, but he has always encouraged me to 'rely on jehovah and all these other things will be added to you', 'seek the kingdom first' etc etc.
there have been times, such as when i was heavily pregnant and we lost a big deal, that i have been begging jehovah on hands and knees to honour that promise, wondering why he wasn't helping us.
-
Driving Force
Yes, I agree with you. We also have financial problems because of putting kingdom interest first, expecting Jehovah to honour his promise, which he does not.
I am no longer under this mind control, and I also have no savings, no pension and do not own my own home, because I put kingdom interest first for 29 years. I gave up a military career and have turned down some very lucrative positions since then in companies because they were dealing with military equipment.
I am now free, but not my wife. The bOrg have split up our family.
I hope things work out well for you, whatever you do, do not pray to Jehovah, because he will not help. It is good that you have non JW family to help out.

Just found out their about to baptise my 14 year old boy.
by Crazyguy inthere doing this right under my nose but i just found out.
not sure what to do but would like your help on getting me wt information on my headship role and how they shouldn't be doing this with out my permission.
also would like some help on showing my son the ramifications on what happens to someone when they get baptized and how they'll expect him to treat me.
-
Driving Force
And that is it, let your son hate you for a bit but I wouldn't tell him anything just yet about why, because he is probably very much brainwashed at this moment and will tell them what you said.
This is spot on, he is brainwashed, do not attack the cult.
I have had some very good advice from psychologist that I applied with my daughter, who has just turned 15, and it works, she no longer wants anything to do with the Cult.
The advice was, do not attack the Cult, do not try to draw the child into a loyalty conflict, offer you child an alternative. This offering the child an alternative is a difficult one to implement the other points are relatively easy.
I see in your case it is just before baptism, one suggestion
i would get a court order to stop it! it's for his safety
from GTTM seems good if you have the courage to do that.
He will hate you for it, but love you lots later. And with such things as a court order the Elders will back off.

The Turkish people never came to Germany as refugees, they were invited to come in the 50s and 60s as migrant workers, and we are now in the second, third and even forth generation. You cannot invite people to come to a land, give them work, give them homes and offer them citizenship and then kick them out when you no longer require them. The Turkish population should be kept out of the equation, that is a completely different subject.
